A self-guided solo retreat in the Catskills for people whose minds rarely slow down.
Private cabins. No schedule. Space to pause and regain clarity.
Two hours from New York City. A world away from everything else.

THE INSIGHT
Most of us move through the day surrounded by input.
Messages. Content. Decisions. Conversations. Noise.
Even time off can feel full.
What’s often missing isn’t more information. It’s space.
Space to think clearly. Space to process. Space to let your mind settle enough for something new to emerge.

WHAT THIS IS
More intentional than an Airbnb. Less structured than a traditional meditation retreat.
There's no group schedule. No expectation to follow a program. No pressure to "do" the experience a certain way.
Just a private cabin in nature, designed to support stillness, reflection, and true rest.
This isn't about escaping your life. It's about stepping back enough to see it clearly.
INSIDE THE CABINS
Everything is intentionally simple. Not to add more, but to remove what isn't needed.
• A private one bedroom Scandinavian-inspired A-frame cabin
• Morning provisions (eggs, yogurt, oats, fruit, tea, coffee)
• Optional prepared meals
• Meditation cushion + zabuton
• Yoga mat for gentle movement
• Phone lockbox to step away from devices
• Curated iPad with meditation, breathwork, and movement resources
• Optional daily rhythm (never imposed)
• Printed guide to local walks, trails, and swimming spots
• On-demand support if needed
• Modern en suite bathroom
• Queen size bed
WHY SOLITUDE WORKS
When the mind is constantly engaged, it never gets the chance to reset.
Over time, that can show up as:
• Mental fatigue
• Reduced creativity
• Difficulty making decisions
• A persistent sense of low-level noise
Solitude creates different conditions.
With less input, the nervous system begins to settle. Thoughts become clearer. Ideas reconnect.
What feels stuck starts to move again.

FOUNDER STORY
Restful Refuge is the space I wished had existed while I was working in high-performance corporate environments.
While in high pressure roles, I realized the only places my nervous system truly downshifted were silent meditation retreats, not vacations or weekends off, but structured solitude. If this resonates, I’d love to talk about your experience with burnout and work-life balance.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT
The first cabins are expected to open in late summer 2026.
Before bookings open publicly, I’m inviting a small group of early guests to join the Founding Guest Circle.
As part of the Founding Guest Circle, you'll receive:
• Early access to booking invitations
• Founding guest rates (a significant one-time discount)
• Occasional updates as the retreat takes shape
• The chance to share input as it evolvesThe Founding Circle is intentionally small. Spots are limited.
Q: Is this a meditation retreat?
A: Restful Refuge is a self-guided solo retreat in the Catskills, not a structured meditation program. Meditation tools, breathwork resources, and gentle movement guides are available in each cabin, but nothing is required or expected. You define the experience entirely.Q: Who is this for?
A: Restful Refuge is designed for busy professionals or individuals who need genuine rest, clarity, and uninterrupted space — whether or not they have an existing meditation practice. It's especially well-suited for those at risk of burnout, in-need of a digital detox, navigating a career or life transition, or simply feeling like their mind rarely slows down.Q: Is there a schedule?
A: No. An optional daily rhythm is provided as a gentle starting point, but there is no required programming. Every guest creates their own experience at their own pace.Q: How long can I stay?
A: Retreats range from 3 to 5 days. Guests arrive and depart on shared days, creating a quiet sense of collective intention — you'll know others are on the property holding their own space, even as each experience remains entirely private and individual. A full schedule will be published closer to opening.Q: How many cabins are there?
A: There are 6 private cabins set across a 6-acre property in Mount Tremper in the Catskill Mountains, two hours from New York City. Each cabin is designed for one guest or a couple seeking solitude together.
Q: Can I come with my partner?
A: Yes. The cabins can accommodate couples. That said, many guests find that true solitude can offer something a shared experience doesn't. We encourage you to think about what you're hoping to get out of your stay before booking.Q: How does food work?
A: Each stay includes morning provisions — eggs, yogurt, oats, fruit, coffee, and tea. Optional meal add-ons can be arranged in advance, so there's no need to cook, plan, or leave the property for food. We intentionally minimize decisions throughout your stay so you can stay focused on rest and reflection.Q: How do I get there?
A: Restful Refuge is located in Mount Tremper in the Catskill Mountains, approximately two hours from New York City. Guests can arrive by car or take a bus from the city — a fitting transition into retreat mode. Transportation from the nearby bus stop can be arranged.Q: When does it open?
A: We are targeting late summer 2026. Founding Guests will receive early access to booking before the retreat opens to the public.Q: How do I book or learn more?
A: Join the Founding Guest Circle to be among the first to know when bookings open. Founding Guests also receive a one-time discounted rate and the opportunity to share input as the retreat takes shape.
